Dishing it: Mama Edition

150dish
It’s time again for Dishing It at Serenity Now.

~What's the best thing about your mom?
EVERYTHING! My mama is a multi-tasking, child rearing, cooking, crafting, and volunteering machine! She does it all so efficiently too!
~If your mom isn't around, do you have a family member or mentor who can stand in for her?

~What's your relationship with your mom like (do you just tolerate each other, or is she your best confidant)?
My mom is definitely one of my best friends in that I can talk to her about anything and she gives the best advice. I know that sounds trite, but it’s true—she’s a great friend and that’s what mamas are for! Don’t get me wrong; I don’t want to go out with my mom or have her hang around my friends…she’s not a Dina Lohan!

~If there is one quality about your mom that you could emulate, what would it be?
I wish I could do it all and keep it all together.

~What's the best advice your mom has ever given you?
Have fun and mind your manners. Every.Single.Time I walked out the door she told me that. I think back now and see that if I could follow those two rules, life would be pretty great.
~Describe the most embarrassing outfit your mom made you wear when you were growing up. (If you have a photo of this, I will give you ten bonus points!)
Oh dear. I was four and my middle sis was 15 months old when our baby sister was born but my mama loved to dress us up in similar dresses. It’s bad. I’m sorry.

Oh the bangs…awful!

I was probably only in 4th or 5th grade and she still made me carry a purse—yikes!

~If you're a mom, what's your favorite thing about motherhood? What's the most difficult?
Not yet :)

I LOVE the purse...that's good training, if you ask me. ;) The matching dresses made me smile! I think manners are so important to teach your children. It's almost become a lost art. Kudos to your mom for starting you out young. :)

Thanks so much for linking up to my party. I hope you have fun "mingling," and stop by and leave me a comment with your link when you have a chance. Thanks. :)

My kids are going to hate me, I love to dress them the same! Ooh and the bangs...so had those when I was little too! Your mom sounds like an amazing woman!

I definitely had that same haircut! With the bangs and the curled-under ends...so perfectly rolled. :) Love it!

Our "bad" outfits looks pretty similar. I'm jealous of your bangs. My hair got cut like a boy's. It was awful!!

Your mom sounds great! I LOOOOOVE the name of your blog!!
