Nanny is 88 & Mothers Day

I am terrible at taking pictures at family functions. Thankfully my sister Sami is a shutterbug. Unfortunately, that means I didn’t get any pictures from our Mothers Day celebration with the Cooks.

Four generations of Mastrarios: Nanny, 88; Daddy, 63, Me, 27; Wyatt 2970038_10151695196621929_635852064_n

I absolutely LOVE this one. We robbed a picture off Nanny’s wall to use the frame and Sami Photoshopped four pictures into one. She’s doing these all summer long if anyone is interested.aIMG_9873 FINAL

May Miscellany

Sami got some great shots of Jake, Ben, and Rivers at Wyatt’s birthday party. I hope she can use this quiet little waterfall for some more family shots. It was a great location!

The same afternoon of Wyatt’s birthday party, the church hosted a bridal shower for Suzi. She got so many nice gifts to make her and David’s house a home. All pics from Sami of course.

Wyatt even stepped up to learn a few tricks of the trade.

I got this cute bulldog statue on my way back from Athens last week. Wyatt thinks it’s like a horse and he can ride it.

Somewhere amid all of the chaos, Justin managed to pick up this beautiful pair of earrings for me for my 27th (!!!) birthday. 30 is coming up quickly for me!

Saw this funny sign at a sporting goods store:

We were coming out of Wally World and saw a vehicle with a Hawaii tag on it. It just killed Justin to know how they got it over to the main land. Luckily for him and embarrassingly for me, the owners were getting into it when we were coming out of the store. He just HAD to stop and as. Turns out they are in the military and had it brought over when they moved.

My in-laws got me a pink pistol grip for my birthday. I am usually opposed to pink gun stuff because if I have to pull it out, I want folks to know I mean business. This is really nice though. It gives me a much secure grip.

A new cupcake shop opened in Tifton on my birthday and I just happened to be right next door getting my nails done and couldn’t resist some birthday cupcakes. I got a red velvet, Reese cup, salted caramel, and a maple bacon. They were all delicious. I was glad they didn’t have TOO much icing like Gigi’s in Savannah tends to have.

While we were in Savannah, I stopped at Harbor Freight to pick up a set of metal stamps. I have been wanting a set to make stamped washer necklaces and penny key chains. Next task is to find something to make holes in the pennies to put them on my key chain. I want to have a penny for each of our birth years.

Wyatt’s 2nd Birthday

Wyatt’s 2nd birthday party was the day after Sami’s graduation so we were all a little rushed that weekend to say the least. We had a red tractor party.Wyatt Design 2

Sometimes I think this blog should be labeled “content by Sarah, photos by Sami” because I usually just end up stealing all of her pics from Facebook to fill in my blog posts. Aren’t you glad you don’t have to put up with my crappy iPhone pics ALL the time?

My SIL Amanda built Wyatt this amazing busy board with all kinds of switches, locks, and hooks. He loves it!

Sami got Wyatt with a little bit of icing and he yelled, “NO AUNT SAMBI!!!” Bless his heart. It was later in the day and he was a little dramatic.

Like I said, we got Wyatt a ride on tractor for his birthday and he has probably racked up miles in it already.

Here’s a funny story. I bought a little Columbia shirt for Wyatt and Justin to match the day of the party and Mr. Sheldon wore his that day too! Three generations of Cook men all in the same shirt!

Amanda made the most awesome cake—it tasted AND looked good! We had a great time and were so glad our family and friends could help us celebrate our Wy-man!

Wyatt is 2 and Sami graduated!

Last weekend, we headed over to Savannah because my baby sister Sami was graduating with her undergraduate degree in history from Armstrong Atlantic State University. Since Wyatt turned 2 that Saturday, we wanted to celebrate as a family so Justin and I took him to the Savannah Children’s Museum to run around and play.

Later that night, we ate at Joe’s Crab Shack on River Street. Justin got a crab bucket so he got decked out in a big festive bib. The servers found out it was Wyatt’s birthday and mine two days later so I was thoroughly embarrassed while they all sang to us.

Saturday, Sami graduated and we got to catch up with my Aunt Patty, Uncle Roger, and cousin Claire, who all made the trip down from North Carolina.

We were able to get some great family photos.

Our whole family, minus Liam (he was at his mama’s house that weekend)

We grow with each graduation. For mine it was just the five of us and Justin. For Suzi’s graduation, we added Wyatt who was turning 1 that day. Now we have David and Liam to our mix.

Uncle Vic, CAT (Crazy Aunt Teri), and Uncle Louie also came over from Ashburn.164279_10151681872786929_634210678_n 603785_10151681872711929_1949704300_n936791_10151681872761929_731480449_n

These two are my favorite pictures from that afternoon. It is hilarious how the short Mastrario girls go for super tall guys. I snapped this one (intentionally cutting off David’s head) to show the height difference.

Sami and Justin are really like brother and sister. She was only 10 when Justin and I started dating. They swapped hats for this shot.
