New Porch

Justin was determined that he was going to get a new back porch this summer and he wanted to do it before the South Georgia heat really set in. With the help of my sister’s boyfriend, my FIL, my BIL and a few others, it is done! We love having a place to hang out in the late afternoons and Skie loves being outside. I don’t have pictures of it completed {with our RED TIN roof! :)} but I will get those on here ASAP! Here you go.

One of the Ag Commission members sent these lovely flowers down with my boss from a meeting in Atlanta. He has a nursery and sent a flat for my boss’s wife and for me. I couldn’t wait to get them in pots and out of the new back porch. {Don’t you just love the Dollar Tree buckets?!}

*This is what the Cook family calls the “Broom Sniffing Game.” It’s a loooonnnnggg story but the bottom line is that it’s good to play in groups and is family friendly. There’s a little trick that you do, so once you’ve played it and know the secret, it’s pretty much over. It’s fun to play with new groups though!
I also got a Tervis from my sister and a tech case in my Vera pattern from my mama and daddy. :)

Oh my goodness gracious, happy late birthday!!! Looks like you got yourself a nice porch there. Is Skie a Great Dane? I love them!! When I was a little girl, my parents had friends who raised them and I used to play with all of the puppies while the grown ups talked.
