Loooovvee Tervis!

I have proclaimed my love for Tervis Tumblers on more than one occasion on this blog, but I just want to tell ya how great they are again! Justin and I both got 24 oz. Big Ts for Christmas and they are the primary drinking vessels used in our home. I have to be sure they’re washed daily! Tervis has come out with tons of new designs and I see another order in my future. Check out these cute new looks:

E.L.F.

A few years ago, I discovered E.L.F. (which stands for Eyes, Lips, Face) just in time for stocking stuffers at Christmas. It’s a great, cheap product line if you are interested in checking out new techniques and don’t want to splurge on department store brands. I especially love their super sparkly mineral eye shadows. Last week, I came across a deal on one of the savings blogs I read that had a coupon code for ten (TEN!!!!!) free mineral eye shadows with a $25 purchase. I couldn’t pass up this great deal. These shadows are only $3 each, but that meant $30 in savings!

I bought all this loot for $25, which included free shipping thanks to a coupon code I found on retailmenot.com.

That’s ten mineral eye shadows, one pressed shadow duo, mineral foundation, mineral veil warmth, mineral blush, four nail polishes and one gel eyeliner. I also got a regular self-sharpening mineral eyeliner.

Here are the shadows I got:

Left to right: Caffeine, Celebrity, Confident, Earthy, and Golden

Left to right again: Sassy, Smoldering, Socialite, Trendy and Wild

I tried out the nail polishes also.

Left to right are Passion Pink, Copper, Fire Coral (which is close to my favorite OPI color, Cajun Shrimp!), and Fluorescent Pink. The only one I ended up not being crazy about is the Passion Pink. It looked to have an iridescent tint to it, but it looks a little matte on.

I recommend you check out E.L.F. if you’d like some cute new colors!

Amicalola Falls, Georgia

We spent the past weekend up in North Georgia at Amicalola Falls State Park. We stayed at the lodge right in the park, too! It was nice, affordable lodging and the scenery was great.

We stopped in Jasper and saw these cool yard ornaments outside an antiques store. I am sensing a project for this summer!DSCN0742

We also stopped at a deer park that housed rescue animals. We saw tons of deer, some baby goats, emus, llamas, and a few South Asian deer. The baby goat was my favorite!

We also stopped in Atlanta on the way home and checked out IKEA and the Bodies exhibit. Unfortunately, they made us lock up our cameras, purse and cell phones so I don’t have any pictures from that, but it is definitely worth the trip to Atlanta!

We were so glad to have a quick weekend away from work and it was a great time for us to enjoy time together before Wyatt’s born.

My love bug

It’s funny to think about the international day of love in terms of decades but that is what today is. This is our tenth Valentine’s Day- a whole decade of Valentine’s Days. I was joking with a coworker that I’ve never had any other real Valentines other than Justin. Middle school “boyfriends” just didn’t make the cut! It’s our last Valentine’s Day with just the two of us. Little Wyatt will be around to get all of our attention in just a few short months-I know if he’s anything like his mama he will be in his element!

I’ve been so lucky to have this guy by my side.Gush gush gush…that’s all I can do about how great Justin is to have around. They really did break the mold when they made him. He’s one of a kind and I’m so glad he picked me.

So now I give you this walk through memory lane of some pics of us since 2004. I don’t have too many pictures before then because I haven’t had time to scan them onto my hard drive. Can you tell we’ve mastered the art of the self-portrait?

I would have disagreed with this a few years ago, but I’m beginning to see the real wisdom here.

Gobble gobble!

Today, Justin and I took our two nephews to the Turkey-Rama and the Georgia Go Fish Center in Perry. I think they had a blast and we really got to enjoy them!

If you are near the Perry area, the Go Fish Center is definitely worth checking out. They even have stocked ponds and provide poles and bait for the kids to fish in. Jake was the only one to catch a fish, but Ben definitely tried his hardest.

They each got a crow call and a rubber band gun. We have already gotten threats of payback from their mama about the fun stuff Wyatt's going to get when he's older.

Catching up

We had a blast at the Southern Women's Show in Savannah this past weekend!

Here’s a little eye candy for you poor souls who weren’t able to attend:

Those hard working firefighters raised a TON of money for the Augusta Burn Unit.

One firefighter called his girlfriend up on stage and announced that it was her 21st birthday. She was completely red. The music stopped and he got serious…and then he proposed! It was so cute!

Skie is doing a little better. She was a real Houdini the past few weeks and got out of her pen several times. Justin hooked her up with a better pen and she seems to be taking it well. I grabbed this shot of her after Justin returned home from duck hunting one day a few weeks ago. It looks like she’s trying to learn to be a bird dog.

And look what a friend just dropped off at my desk today:

She pre-ordered Black Heels and Tractor Wheels and is so busy she can’t read it right now. She offered to let me borrow it. If you have never heard of Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman, you’ve been missing out! She has an awesome blog and her recipes are to die for! I know what I’ll be doing for the rest of this week!

Head on over to the baby blog to read the latest about our bundle of joy!
