Work Lately

January took me to a brand new industry farm in Georgia. We got to travel to One Dog Ventures, a grafting nursery that grows satsuma orange plants. We also traveled to Florida Georgia Citrus's juicing facility where they juice the satsumas. Let me tell you, that juice is DIVINE! I am proud of families making the investment to help grow new industries for our state.

Young Farmers Conference

Justin and I headed to Savannah with about 30 members of our local chapter of Young Farmers. We left Georgia and Wyatt in capable hands with the Cook family.

It was fun dressing up and spending time together in Savannah even though River Street was dead in the cold January nights.

We headed out to Savannah Smiles both nights we were there and cut loose for a little bit of dancing and singing at the top of our lungs. Somehow, Justin ended up on stage BOTH nights with groups of bachelorettes!

Wyatt's Squirrel

Wyatt got a shotgun for Christmas and of course he couldn't wait to try it out. His first kill was a squirrel in our back yard. He was so proud. I love how Justin got him to hold its head up like it was a trophy kill!

Atlanta Mural Tour

Sami and I ventured up to the Atlanta area because we heard it was chock full of awesome wall murals. We grabbed Georgia, rode up there, and referred to a Google map that I had pinned some spots on. We had the best time! The only thing I would advise others about would be to plan for an entire weekend if you want to see them all. I have been looking for others along the way and there are TONS we didn't even see up there because it got too dark. We saw some very cool murals but the best concentration was in Cabbage Town. We got there about an hour before sunset so we missed out on a lot. I think we will definitely plan a return trip to check those out more.
