30 Days of Blogging: Day 24

Day 24 - where I live

I am proud to call Ashburn, Georgia {pop. ~5,000} home for the past 18 years. It’s such a great little town. I really love it! When I was a teenager, I really couldn’t wait to get out, but like many others I rushed back home right after graduating college.

I sure do wish it would have a few more restaurants or attractions, but it is a great place to live and I couldn’t pick a better place to raise our kids someday. Here are just a few of the best things about Ashburn:

Yes, you read that right! We are home to the Fireant Festival! Our little corny fireants have garnered us a lot of national and international attention. We have been spotlighted on Food Network, National Geographic, Georgia Public TV and many others!
