What I love about MY south: Great Food

My South

Great times in the South almost always center around food. Every year for as long as I can remember, my family has had a Christmas Eve open house and we have created a long time-honored tradition of “Yankee-fying” southern offerings. 1216092249

I can cook a mean batch of cheese straws. In fact, I won a local contest this past December with these.

I love to whip up cinnamon sugar pecans!

We have a few great restaurants that offer some great Southern foods, but my favorite by a large margin is Keith-A-Que in Ashburn. They have the BEST sweet tea and barbeque sandwiches. This is good and bad because they’re only a block from my house, making the temptation to over-indulge that much greater!

Great post :)!! Thank you for your sweet comments lately! we still don't have phone, internet, or cable so I am so far behind on everything it seems! I am in Athens now just so I could catch up and take care of some business. Love the look of your blog :)
