I cannot believe what a whirlwind December was!
Here is my month in pictures:
I cooked a LOT!
Chocolate drizzled angel food cake (yes I cheated and used a mix!)
Prize-winning peppermint Christmas tree candy
And prize-winning cheese straws.
We had a holiday food cook-off in Ashburn for the downtown holiday open house and I won in two of the four categories! I got $100 to spend around town and I didn’t waste any time. I promptly bought this lovely bundt cake candle and some ornaments for our tree and some delicious food from our local butcher shop, Carroll’s Sausage.
My youngest nephew, Ben turned 56*
My husband and my sister’s boyfriend Zack went hunting for a week in Helen and got to see (& camp out in) the first snow of the season.
My mama, my sisters and I checked out the Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain.
I had a blast with my niece, my nephews and another little boy while babysitting with my sister Suzi:
And my youngest sister Sami turned 19. I made a rainbow cake, but I dropped it (plate down, thank goodness!) so it wasn’t so pretty but it was pretty good!
*Not 5, like I thought when I bought his card—DUH!!!—BAD AUNT!
