The Ashburn Women’s Club recently hosted a Frozen Christmas Bash. We wanted kids of all ages to come out and have some fun. We got a much bigger response than we had ever imagined. We counted 200 tickets before we were all too tired and decided to get full report at our meeting after Christmas. We have a great group of ladies and despite several who couldn’t make it due to sick children or other commitments, we did an awesome job. We ran out of all of our snacks and even went through two whole makings of reindeer food for the kids. We did face painting, nail painting, glitter sticker jewelry, pin the nose on Olaf, reindeer food to be scattered in the yard for Christmas Eve, coloring sheets, door prizes, and dancing, and we even had Elsa and Ana live in person. It all turned out so well!

AWC Scavenger Hunt
Last weekend Justin, Wyatt, and I participated in the Ashburn Women’s Club scavenger hunt. It was so fun! We got double points for posting our pictures to Facebook so the AWC could share the pictures, but I think some of my out-of-town friends might have thought I was nuts! We raised money to feed four families for Thanksgiving and some of the items we had to find were food items to be added to the baskets. I love that we can have fun as a family and help others out at the same time.

This one was my favorite! The street where we turned in our items is not very traveled so we let Wy ride his bike in the middle of the road. I forgot his helmet so we couldn’t let him ride; I have an irrational (or completely rational?) fear of head injuries.

5K Run for Chloe
This past weekend, the Ashburn Women’s Club hosted a 5K run and a 1 mile fun walk/run to benefit Chloe Kendrick. I am so proud of this group of women and the great things they help to accomplish! Chloe was there and she participated in the 1 mile walk. She even finished ahead of me! I am glad she was able to help pass out the awards!
Our whole family (minus Justin and Daddy) was there. Even baby Pax was strolled along!
